Along the way you will see road side venders such as this section of highway, which is dedicated to selling strawberry wine and mulberry wine. I don't think the wine will win any awards, but hey, everyone wants to taste strawberry wine! Samples are free, so taste them both.

Thailand Visa in Mae Sai – 66 viewsQuick stop. Thais must get a day pass before attempting to cross the border into Tachilek, Myanmar. Foreigners must have a passport. Myanmar will require a 500 Thai Baht payment for non-Thais to enter for just a few days. Thailand will not charge a re-entry fee, however, you might have to show 10,000 to 20,000 Baht in cash. Thai visa laws changed in 2007, they might change again in 2008 so check up on it.

Parking on the main road is the best, however, not always available. We will park down a side street just to the left of the checkpoint today.
